Neil and Raylynn first met in the summer of 2010 during their driver’s education class. Neil, at 15, was focused and eager to learn, while Raylynn, 14, was struggling with the concepts of parallel parking. Though they parted ways after the class, their brief encounter left a lasting impression.
A year later, at a school retreat in early 2011, they reunited. As they participated in group activities and shared stories, their friendship rekindled and soon blossomed into romance. By the end of the retreat, Neil and Raylynn, now 16 and 15 respectively, decided to continue talking further. Neil asked Raylynn to Holy Cross Junior Prom on May 6, 2011. This is the date they have decided is the start of their official relationship. 
Over the next 13 years, they grew together through college, career changes, and personal challenges, their relationship deepening with each shared experience. On June 24 of 2024, Raylynn now 28, graduated from the University College Dublin as a veterinarian. Shortly after the graduation in the gorgeous courtyard of the Intercontinental Hotel in Dublin, the long awaited proposal took place.
